You probably know someone who’s had a brain aneurysm; there are multiple people that fortunately have survived. Austen, who grew up in KG, was only 23-years old when an aneurysm took her life. In honor of Austen, a local walk is held annually to raise money for the Brain Aneurysm Foundation. There’s a walk in Fredericksburg and one here in KG in Berry Plains where Austen grew up. Here’ the link to walk or give a donation to support aneurysm research. The KG Royal Parrot Fin Society is the team walking in Berry Plains. The Austen’s Communitas event supports the Brain Aneurysm Foundation with the funds to continue to create education and awareness materials, run support groups nationwide, and enables the brightest minds in the neurological field to continue their vital research. The generosity of participants, donors, sponsors and volunteers of this event, contribute to our mission to help save lives and improve outcomes for survivors.
